Crispy Prosciutto is a great alternative to bacon on a salad. Easy to do and gives a salty addition to any dish as a garnish. Try on grilled baguette with bruschetta topped with fried prosciutto.

Recipe Multiplier

  • 1 ea 3 oz package of Prosciutto

Instructions

  • Cut the prosciutto into ¼" – ½" strips
  • Cook the Prosciutto over medium to medium low heat to render the fat.
  • The Prosciutto will begin to become cooked, but pay attention to keep it from burning.
  • Once the Prosciutto looks to be crisping remove from the pan to drain on a paper towel.
  • Let the Prosciutto cook before placing in an airtight container.
    Do not refrigerate as the prosciutto will lose its crispiness.
