A twist on panna cotta that will bring a touch of the Irish to the classic Italian dessert.

Equipment

Recipe Multiplier

  • 1 ½ cup Heavy Cream
  • ½ cup 2% Milk
  • ¼ cup Irish Whiskey
  • ½ cup Strong Brewed Coffee or Espresso
  • ¼ cup Irish Cream
  • ¼ cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Gelatin

Instructions

Dissolving the Gelatin

  • In a sauce pot, add the milk and heat to warm.
    Remove from the heat.
  • Add the gelatin to the milk and whisk to combine.
    Let sit to dissolve the gelatin.

Heating the Cream Mixture

  • In a second sauce pot, add the remaining ingredients.
    Heat over a medium heat until the cream begins to form bubbles around the edge. Just before simmering.
  • Remove from the heat.
  • Using a whisk, add in the milk and gelatin mixture and whisk to combine.
  • Once combined, ladle the panna cotta into rocks glasses, irish coffee glasses or ramekins.
  • Refrigerate overnight to allow the gelatin to set.
  • Serve with whipped cream.
